Welcome To
P&J Distribution

Each year millions of people are injured because of slip and fall accidents. Thousands more suffer tramatic injures caused by falls onto hard surfaces on walkways, patios, playgrounds, and many other environments

We at P&J Distribution want to reduce those numbers, so we offer the best products on the market for slip resistance and impact attenuation, while caring for the environment. All our products are made from recycled materials and carry generous manufacturer's warranties.

Premium Materials

Our rubber safety surfacing is made out of crumb rubber. Crumb Rubber is recycled rubber from automotive and truck tires that have reached their end of life and would otherwise wind up in landfills.

Crumb Rubber degrades over a very long period of time (lifetimes), can withstand extreme temperatures, has excellent insulating properties, can be used alone (engineering and landscape projects), can be molded into various products (mats, rolls, consumer and industrial goods), can substitute for virgin or synthetic rubber (shoes, tires, bubble gum), or makes a great asphalt modifier (roads, coatings, roofing materials).

Evnironmentally Responsible

On average, the market for crumb rubber consumes 220 million pounds of crumb rubber, keeping roughtly 12 million tires out of landfills annually. Products made from recycled tire Crumb Rubber are an everyday part of our daily lives where you find them in our homes, schools, parks, daycare centers, shopping malls, health care centers, gyms, offices and manufacturing plants..

And although tires are manufactured with chemicals that could be potentially harmful to humans, recycled tire Crumb Rubber derived products have been Extensively Studied and the study's have consistently determined it to be safe.

Tire Management Grants

Part, if not all of your surfacing may be paid for from grants. CalRecycle will assist with the cost of Tire-Derived Products. Our products qualify for this grant since they are made from 100% California generated waste tires.

Many states and private entities offer grants to off-set some, or all costs of rubber safety surfacing. Internet searches with your state name, rubber safety surfacing and grants will help. You can also visit Rules of the Playground to locate a variety of funding sources.

Long Beach's First Mini-Park

Make-over complete for Long Beach's first mini-park, which originally opened in 2000. $64,000 was spent renovating this park. The entire playground surfacing was replaced with rubber playground surfacing tiles, with protection from falls up to 10 feet! The city will revive its 46 other parks over the next several years.
